SPLASH Exhibit – Atlas Gallery
Discover a group exhibition exploring the enduring visual and symbolic power of water through photography.
Presented by Atlas Gallery from 10 June to 30 August, SPLASH: Sea, Beach and Pool brings together 20th-century and contemporary works inspired by the sea, coastline and swimming pool.
Moving between fashion, leisure, landscape and the body, the exhibition considers water as a symbol of reflection, transformation, memory, desire and escape.
Featuring artists including Bill Brandt, Martin Parr, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Robert Capa and Karine Laval, the photographs capture moments of stillness, glamour and movement while also reflecting on the fragility of marine environments.
The exhibition offers a wide-ranging look at how photographers across generations have returned to water as both subject and source of imagination.
