Speculations – Marylebone Theatre
Step into a gripping new political thriller at Marylebone Theatre this autumn with the world premiere of Speculations.
Set in New York in 1965, the play follows celebrated journalist and television star Dorothy Kilgallen as she investigates the unexplained deaths of Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald. Unconvinced by the official answers, her search for the truth takes her from Hollywood and the White House to the New Orleans underworld — and into the path of some of America’s most powerful figures.
Janie Dee stars as Dorothy Kilgallen in this new play by Torben Betts, directed by Trevor Nunn. As the investigation deepens and the threats move closer to home, Speculations asks whether the stories we think we know really tell the whole story.
The production runs at Marylebone Theatre from 30 October to 3 January.
