Pedro Carmona-Alvarez in conversation with Leo Robson

In collaboration with Akoya publishing, Veranda Books welcomes Pedro Carmona-Alvarez, author of Chiquitita.

Chiquitita tells the story of Marisol, whose family flee their home country as it descends into military dictatorship. As an adult, Marisol finds herself confronting the memories that haunt her. This tender novel about flight and exile was originally published in Norway to great acclaim.
The conversation will be led by writer Leo Robson, whose debut novel ‘The Boys’ was published in 2025.
