Life Drawing Club – The Wallace Collection

Explore the enduring significance of the nude figure in European art with The Wallace Collection’s monthly Life Drawing Club.

Led by artist and art historian Karly Allen, the welcoming full-day session combines close observation, discussion and drawing, offering both experienced artists and those new to life drawing the opportunity to develop their practice in a supportive and reflective setting.

November’s session, Rococo Bodies: Colour and Light, turns to the pastel palettes, elegant forms and playful theatricality of Rococo art. Participants will begin by sketching selected works in the galleries before returning to the Learning Studio, where a professional art model will respond to the collection through a series of poses.

Taking place on Saturday 21 November 2026 from 10.30am to 4.30pm, the workshop encourages experimentation and offers the chance to translate observations from the museum’s collection into your own life drawing practice. The event is suitable for ages 18+ and participants are advised to bring a packed lunch.
