Kokedama Workshop – Niwaki

Spend a creative afternoon at Niwaki on Chiltern Street learning how to make kokedama, the Japanese art of transforming living plants into decorative moss gardens.

Led by Lisa from HINOKI Forest Bathing, the two-hour workshop will take you through each stage of the process, from shaping the soil and wrapping the roots to applying moss and securing the plants using traditional techniques. You’ll create two kokedama to take home and learn how to care for them so they continue to thrive.

The session also includes a guided tasting of Japanese teas, offering a relaxed introduction to Japanese craft and tea culture. No previous experience is needed, with all tools, materials and refreshments provided.
