Children’s Event with Jessica Courtney-Tickle – Daunt Books
Join illustrator Jessica Courtney-Tickle at Daunt Books Marylebone this October half-term for a musical and creative morning celebrating The Story Orchestra: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Jessica will read from the new book before showing children how to draw some of the story’s best-known characters, including Alice, the Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit. The event will also bring the story to life through music, with children invited to hear orchestral excerpts from the book and have a go at recreating the sounds using percussion instruments.
Taking place on Tuesday 27 October from 10am–10.45am, the event is recommended for children aged 5–10, although all ages are welcome.
Tickets are £5 per child and include drawing materials, use of percussion instruments, snacks and a soft drink. Signed copies of the book will also be available to purchase afterwards.
