Westminster We Belong To – University of Westminster

Participatory design lab with students/built environment experts exploring the theme of “Belonging” through the lens of the local community.

This 1-hour participatory design symposium will explore your sense of belonging. Like water freezing into ice or dissolving into a larger body, it can change. Communities ebb and flow, individuals adapt. The session will consider how the built environment can support positive, reversible changes – spaces that are adaptable, welcoming to flux, and can ‘melt’ away barriers or ‘mix’ different people together. Designers, architects, students, and community members are invited to join, share ideas, and reflect on how design can foster a community-rooted sense of lasting belonging.
