Weekend Masterclass: Still Life – The Wallace Collection

Spend a creative weekend at The Wallace Collection exploring the art of still life with acclaimed London-based painter Laura Smith.

Taking inspiration from the museum’s Winston Churchill: The Painter exhibition and permanent collection, the masterclass begins with time in the galleries, where participants will sketch and respond to works that capture their interest.

These ideas will then be developed in the studio, where you’ll create your own composition and learn how to paint a still life using acrylics, with a focus on drawing, colour, painting and composition.

Open to all experience levels, the two-day course offers an inspiring opportunity to develop your skills within the unique surroundings of the museum.
