Silver Sunday: Slow Looking, Simple Drawing – The Wallace Collection

Spend a relaxed afternoon exploring art at the Wallace Collection as part of Silver Sunday, the national day celebrating older people.

Led by artist and educator Norton Asbury, the session begins with tea and coffee before moving into the Great Gallery to take a closer look at a selection of landscape paintings, including Rubens’s Rainbow Landscape. Through conversation and simple drawing activities, participants will explore how the works were created and what gives each painting its distinctive mood and character.

No previous drawing experience is needed, and all materials are provided. The event is free, but advance booking is essential.
