RUSH(ES) Performance by Alexandra Bachzetsis
The internationally acclaimed Greek-Swiss visual artist and choreographer Alexandra Bachzetsis brings her daring new solo work RUSH(ES) to Marylebone for its much-anticipated London premiere.
Part visceral dance, part conceptual art, RUSH(ES) takes audiences on an intense physical and emotional journey. Through rapid, almost hypnotic transformations, Bachzetsis explores the boundaries of the body — shifting between human, animal, and object with startling fluidity. The performance is a bold interrogation of desire, power, solitude and the behavioural taboos that shape our collective consciousness.
Each movement is charged with purpose: at once playful, raw, and unsettling. Physical metamorphosis becomes both a personal and universal act, reflecting moments of pleasure, anxiety, and unguarded joy. Layered with music, text, and striking spatial design, RUSH(ES) blurs the lines between performer and audience, drawing spectators into a heightened state of awareness.
Blending elements of autofiction with lived experience, Bachzetsis invites viewers to witness not just a performance, but an evolving, embodied dialogue on transformation itself.
Presented over two exclusive evenings: Thursday 16 and Friday 17 October 2025 at 19:00, this intimate Marylebone engagement promises a rare opportunity to experience one of Europe’s most innovative performance artists creative power.
