NOVO Quartet – Wigmore Hall
Discover NOVO Quartet, one of Denmark’s most exciting young chamber ensembles, performing as part of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists programme.
Founded in 2018, the quartet has quickly gained international recognition, winning top prizes at competitions in Geneva, Heidelberg, Trondheim and at the Carl Nielsen International Competition.
In 2025, NOVO Quartet joined BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists, further establishing its reputation as one of the leading young ensembles of its generation. Its debut recording, featuring works by Shostakovich, Matias Vestergård and Nielsen, has also received critical acclaim, with Gramophone praising the quartet’s growing international presence.
The performance offers the chance to hear an ensemble already making its mark across Europe, combining technical precision with a fresh and distinctive approach to the string quartet repertoire.
