Norman Smith – Thompson’s Gallery

Thompson’s Gallery presents a focused selection of works by Norman Smith PS, a celebrated landscape painter known for his atmospheric compositions and expressive use of colour.

Working primarily in pastel and oil, Smith captures the shifting moods of the natural world, from coastal light and open skies to fleeting moments in the countryside. His richly layered surfaces bring movement, texture and depth to each scene.

Based in Oxfordshire, Smith has worked as a full-time painter since 1987 and is a member of the Pastel Society. This exhibition offers an intimate insight into his sensitive and continually evolving approach to landscape painting.
