Nomad: Perspectives on Home in a Changing Japan by Molly Maine is a solo exhibition exploring the evolving idea of ‘home’ in contemporary Japan. Through digitally illustrated prints, Molly reflects on how globalisation, natural disasters, and remote work challenge traditional notions of belonging and stability. The show contrasts the transient lives of digital nomads with Japan’s deep-rooted customs, highlighting the impact of events like the Noto earthquake on community identity.
Part of the proceeds will support Noto’s earthquake recovery efforts.
The exhibition runs from 4 to 13 July 2025 at 67 York Street Gallery, Marylebone. The private view is on 3 July, 5:30–8:30pm. Admission is free.
