Niwaki Kokedama Workshop

Discover the art of kokedama at Niwaki on Chiltern Street with a hands-on workshop celebrating one of Japan’s most distinctive planting traditions.

Led by Lisa from HINOKI Forest Bathing, this two-hour session will guide participants through the process of creating two kokedama – decorative living plants wrapped in moss that can be displayed on a table or suspended as hanging gardens. Along the way, you’ll learn traditional techniques for shaping soil, wrapping roots, securing moss and caring for your creations, before enjoying a guided tasting of Japanese teas.

No previous experience is required, with all tools and materials provided.
