Muscle Memory Exhibition – Mandy Zhang Art

Mandy Zhang Art are pleased to present Muscle Memory, a solo exhibition by Dylan Doe, curated by Ning Yu.

Taking its cue from a small but telling glitch — a double-tap performed on paper as if it were a touchscreen — the exhibition explores how digital habits quietly migrate into the body, becoming reflex, repetition, and unconscious gesture. Doe’s paintings bring together fragmented portraits and still lifes, where hands, eyes, and touches hover between intention and autopilot.

Working through intuitive drawing and layered painting, Muscle Memory offers a subtle meditation on attention, habit, and the ways technology reshapes how we look, touch, and move — often without us noticing.
