Mozart Birthday Concert – Wigmore Hall

Wigmore Hall marks Mozart’s birthday with a special evening dedicated to his piano music, performed by one of the world’s leading Mozart interpreters, Robert Levin.

Known for his deep scholarship and flair for improvisation, Levin weaves together three of Mozart’s piano sonatas with the composer’s playful preludes — written to sound as if they were made up on the spot. The concert also includes one of Levin’s own improvised fantasies in Mozart’s style, offering a rare glimpse into how this music might have sounded when it was first performed.
