Marylebone Minds: The Eco Brick Project

Join Dr Corinna Dean for an insightful talk exploring how one of humanity’s oldest building materials is being reimagined for a more sustainable future. Drawing on The Eco Brick Project at the University of Westminster, the lecture examines the brick not only as a construction material, but as part of a wider social and environmental ecology.

The discussion will cover bio-receptive clay bricks, regenerative building methods, traditional craftsmanship, and rural resilience, highlighting a unique collaboration between environmental researchers and Suffolk brickmakers Bulmer Brick and Tile. Guests will gain an understanding of how architecture and material culture can respond more responsibly to today’s ecological challenges. The talk will be followed by questions and discussion.

With limited spaces available, early booking is recommended.
