Iestyn Davies – New Year’s Eve Concert at Wigmore Hall

Wigmore Hall closes the year in magnificent style as countertenor Iestyn Davies joins The English Concert and director Lars Ulrik Mortensen for a radiant New Year’s Eve programme devoted to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.

This special performance marks the opening of Davies’s latest Wigmore Hall Residency and brings together some of Bach’s most exquisite vocal and instrumental works. The evening includes the luminous cantatas Widerstehe doch der Sünde and Vergnügte Ruh, beliebte Seelenlust, alongside the joyful energy of the Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 3 and 6.
