Hands on Armour: Knight School

On Saturday 27 September 2025, families are invited to step back in time with Hands on Armour: Knight School at the Wallace museum. From 1.30pm to 4.00pm, the museum’s Hands on Armour volunteers will guide families through the world of medieval training, tournaments, and traditions. Children aged 5 and over can discover what education was like for an aspiring knight, and have the chance to handle and even try on real and replica armour from the collection. Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, making this an exciting and immersive afternoon for young history enthusiasts and their families.
