About
This summer, Frameless is hosting a vibrant programme of free spoken word workshops, offering young people a unique opportunity to explore the power of poetry and performance within an inspiring artistic setting. Taking place every Friday throughout the school holidays from 25 July, the sessions are led by an outstanding line-up of acclaimed spoken word artists, each bringing their own distinctive voice and energy to the gallery space.
The workshops are designed to encourage creativity, build confidence and spark meaningful conversations. By responding directly to the visual art on display at Frameless, participants are invited to experiment with words, rhythm and expression, discovering fresh ways of connecting with both art and their own experiences. Each 45-minute session is suitable for young people aged 8 and above, and runs at 11am, 1pm and 3pm in the Blank Canvas gallery. Entry is free with a standard Frameless ticket, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
This initiative is presented in partnership with London’s Violence Reduction Unit, established by the Mayor of London to address the root causes of violence through prevention and early intervention. Since 2019, the VRU has supported over 400,000 diversionary activities, offering positive outlets for young Londoners. Together, Frameless and the VRU aim to highlight the arts as a powerful medium for self-expression, resilience and connection.
Free with admission ticket.
