‘Flowers Imagined’ by Catriona Wood

Flowers Imagined marks Catriona’s 15th exhibition since leaving her corporate job to pursue a full-time art career in the summer of 2024. Her latest collection of floral paintings will launch at her month long solo show at 67 York Street Gallery, Marylebone. The exhibition will run 21st May- 21st June, open Wednesdays-Sundays, 10am-7pm or by appointment. Opening night is Thursday 21st May from 5-9pm, all are welcome to join for complimentary drinks.

Known for her playful and expressive style, Catriona’s work captures the essence of flowers rather than their exact likeness, drawing on imagination to create compositions that feel familiar yet slightly out of reach. Her use of colour is often inspired by interiors and unusual palettes. Working in acrylic, she builds up visible brushstrokes and layers of colour.

Catriona’s work has been featured in British Vogue and House & Garden, displayed on the London Underground, and acquired by Netflix for a US-based production. With a fast-growing reputation, her paintings are in demand and often sell quickly on release.
