Fashion in Focus – The Wallace Collection
Discover the changing world of fashion from the Renaissance to the Georgian period with a special talk exploring clothing and adornment represented throughout The Wallace Collection.
Led by Curatorial Assistant Dr Mirren Brockies, the talk examines how dress was used to shape appearances in response to evolving ideas around health, beauty and gender.
From structured garments and luxurious fabrics to intricate jewellery, visitors will take a closer look at the details captured in the collection and what they reveal about the lives and experiences of their wearers.
Taking place on 22 September 2026 from 1pm to 2pm, the free talk can be attended in person at the museum or watched live online via Zoom.
