Dementia-Friendly Workshop: Winter Landscapes – Wallace Collection

This gentle and creative workshop invites participants to explore the beauty of winter through art in a relaxed and supportive setting at the Wallace Collection. Led by artist Christine Covill, the session begins with a calm look at wintry artworks from the collection, encouraging conversation, observation and shared reflection.

Participants will then create their own atmospheric winter landscapes using watercolour and a variety of mark-making materials. Soft washes, simple shapes and expressive silhouettes are used to bring seasonal scenes to life, with guidance throughout and no prior art experience needed. Designed specifically to be dementia-friendly, the workshop focuses on enjoyment, creativity and connection rather than technical skill.

Carers and companions are warmly welcome, and all materials are provided. Booking is essential, but the workshop is free to attend.
