About
The Wallace Collection invites you to a dementia-friendly creative workshop led by artist Jon Sleigh, designed to spark imagination and connection through shape, colour, and conversation. Taking inspiration from the luminous works of Canaletto, participants will explore his distinctive palette and transform it into their own vibrant, abstract creations.
Held in the museum’s welcoming Learning Studio, this gentle and engaging session offers a relaxed space to enjoy art-making without pressure. No previous artistic experience is needed, just a willingness to experiment and enjoy the process. All materials will be provided, and the workshop will be tailored to suit individual needs and abilities.
Carers and companions are warmly encouraged to join, ensuring a shared experience that’s as much about social connection as it is about creativity. Whether you’re new to art or a lifelong enthusiast, the session is designed to provide a supportive, inspiring environment where everyone’s contribution is valued.
This is a free event, but places are limited and advance booking is essential. To reserve your spot, please email community@wallacecollection.org or call 0207 563 5777.
