Colin Thubron: in Conversation – Daunt Books
Join celebrated travel writer and novelist Colin Thubron at Daunt Books Marylebone for an evening marking the publication of his new novel, Passage.
Set in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings, Passage follows a long-simmering love triangle between Kathleen, her husband Robert and his brother Alan. With Kathleen facing the possibility of a fatal brain tumour, the group travel to Egypt, where personal tensions, memory and uncertainty begin to collide.
Blending the observational depth of travel writing with fiction, the novel explores love, betrayal and the weight of the past. Thubron is also known for acclaimed travel books including Behind the Wall, In Siberia, Shadow of the Silk Road and The Amur River.
The event takes place on Wednesday 14 October from 7–8pm at Daunt Books Marylebone. Tickets are £12 and include a glass of wine or soft drink.
