Bridge, Britten, Mozart and Schubert – Wigmore Hall

The Nash Ensemble returns to Wigmore Hall with a richly varied programme spanning late Classical elegance, early 20th-century lyricism and one of the great masterpieces of chamber music.

The evening opens with Mozart’s graceful Piano Quartet in E flat, followed by two expressive miniatures by Frank Bridge. Britten’s youthful and brilliantly energetic Sinfonietta adds sparkle before the interval, leading into Schubert’s deeply moving String Quintet in C, a work of extraordinary warmth, introspection and emotional depth.

With its distinctive blend of wind and strings, the Nash Ensemble brings colour, clarity and sensitivity to this thoughtfully curated programme, offering an evening that moves effortlessly between intimacy, drama and lyric beauty.
