Beethoven, Dobrinka Tabakova & Ravel – Wigmore Hall
Wigmore Hall continues its celebration of the Kanneh-Mason family with a captivating evening from pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason. Praised by Gramophone for her “ability to engage your emotions from first note to last,” she presents a rich and atmospheric programme featuring two of Beethoven’s most iconic piano sonatas, the haunting Moonlight and the radiant Waldstein.
Between them, audiences will be transported into contrasting nocturnal sound worlds: the shadowy brilliance of Ravel’s Gaspard de la nuit and the luminous textures of two works by contemporary composer Dobrinka Tabakova. Together, the programme offers a journey through mystery, mood and masterful expression — a showcase of Isata’s artistry across eras and styles.
