Andreas Gefeller: Surface Tension – Atlas Gallery
Discover a new solo exhibition by Düsseldorf photographer Andreas Gefeller at Atlas Gallery this autumn.
Running from 2 October to 14 November, Surface Tension brings together new and recent works from four of Gefeller’s photographic series, exploring the shifting boundary between what is real, constructed, visible and hidden.
The exhibition includes striking new works focused on water, created by digitally combining hundreds of individual photographs. By removing familiar reference points such as the horizon, Gefeller transforms recognisable landscapes into immersive, almost abstract studies of light, scale and perception.
Across the exhibition, natural phenomena, urban environments and digital systems come together to question how technology, data and artificial intelligence are changing the way we see and understand the world around us.
