An English Baroque Journey with Arcangelo – Wigmore Hall

Join Arcangelo and an ensemble of singers for An English Baroque Journey, exploring music shaped by England’s Chapel Royal in the years surrounding the Restoration.

The programme brings together emotionally charged anthems by Pelham Humfrey, Maurice Greene and Matthew Locke, reflecting a period of renewed musical life after the return of Charles II.

The journey concludes with Handel’s majestic setting of words from the Book of Psalms, bringing the evening to a powerful close.

Arcangelo respectfully dedicates the concert to the memory of Greta Hemus.
