On 11th November 2025, Veranda Books in Marylebone welcomes acclaimed author and former music journalist Alice Vincent for a captivating evening exploring the world of sound. Best known for her books Why Women Grow and Rootbound: Rewilding a Life, Alice brings her unique perspective on how sound shapes our lives, particularly for women navigating the challenges of matrescence. Her latest book, Hark, is a thoughtful and immersive journey into the restorative power of listening, and a firm favourite at Veranda Books.
The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with drinks, followed by a conversation and Q&A from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, and conclude with a book signing until 8:30 pm.
