125th Anniversary Festival – Wigmore Hall
This star-studded fortnight includes Asmik Grigorian, Igor Levit, Jordi Savall, Yunchan Lim, Lise Davidsen, Les Arts Florissants in Handel’s Acis and Galatea, and a programme of songs from 1901 – the year Wigmore Hall was born – from Carolyn Sampson and Joseph Middleton.
The festival opens on Monday 25 May in a programme with the dazzling Modigliani and Leonkoro String Quartets. Their lunchtime concert culminates in Mendelssohn’s Octet, written when the composer was only 16 years old.
